Your 95% in boards gets you in.
It won't.

Where our mentors studied

§ 01 · the problem

Your friend with 96% just got rejected from Cornell. Here's why.

School taught you to score. Every panel worth applying to tests something else entirely, from Sonipat to New Haven. Grades open the door. What you've actually built, said, made, started. That's what decides if it opens.

"I have 96%. School head girl. MUN secretariat. Why didn't Brown take me? Why didn't Masters' Union?"every parent, every year
What every panel worth applying to actually looks at

Did you build something real? Can you defend it in a stress interview?

  • 01A project, a small business, a podcast, a research paper, content with real reach.
  • 02A LinkedIn that shows you doing things, not collecting certificates.
  • 03How you think when a panel pushes back. Can you defend, pivot, hold your ground?
  • 04"Why you, why this school, why now", answered cleanly without sounding rehearsed.
  • 05A story that doesn't collapse the moment one panellist asks "prove it."
What 90% of counsellors are still doing

Filling forms. Recycling SOPs. Telling you to "start an NGO."

  • ×Filling out the application form (you could've done this).
  • ×Generic SOP templates panels have seen ten times this week.
  • ×"Start an NGO", with zero idea how to make it count on an MU app or a Common App.
  • ×₹50K for a checklist, or ₹5L for someone who's never been near an Oxford tutorial or a Masters' Union round.
§ 02 · the schools we know cold

The Ivy 10

Every one of these panels is looking for the same thing and calling it something different: a person who has built something and can hold it up under questioning. What changes is the filter. We build the profile for the filter.

The Ivy League

Eight schools, eight different filters. The mistake is preparing for them as one.

India's new-age universities

Where our own numbers are. These are the panels our team has sat, most recently and in person.

§ 04 · track your progress

A dashboard. Not a black box.

Every Klay student gets a live dashboard. Weekly check-ins, EC milestones, mock interview scores, test prep streaks, scholarship pipeline. You always know exactly where you stand. Your parents do too.

How it actually worksThe dashboard isn't a vanity widget. It's where your mentor leaves feedback, where mocks are logged, where Naincy reviews things. Parents get a read-only view they can check whenever they want.

§ 05 · what makes klay different

Three things you won't get anywhere else.

01

Mentors who sat where you're sitting.

Most counsellors have never been near a Masters' Union stress interview. Ours have. Last year. We won the Mesa scholarship our students are going for. And the mentors reading your Ivy and Oxbridge drafts studied on those campuses. Not theory. Ground truth.

02

Real ECs. Not certificate hoarding.

Anyone can sign you up for ten Coursera courses and an MUN. Klay students walk in with a podcast people actually listen to, a small business that made money, a research paper that's been read. A Gurugram panel and a Providence admissions office can both tell in 30 seconds.

03

Scholarship-first, every time.

Most counsellors lose interest after the offer. We treat the scholarship round as the most important phase, because it's the one that changes your family's actual financial outcome. ₹10L+ guarantee. In writing.

§ 06 · a week at klay

What your week looks like.

So you know exactly what you're paying for. Every week, every student, this rhythm. Sunday is non-negotiably off.

Mon

Strategy call · 60m

With your lead mentor. Last week's review, this week's deliverables. Specific deadlines.

Tue

EC project work

Wed

Mock interview / GD

One round, alternating schools. Recorded, debriefed, written feedback the next morning.

Thu

Essay or application

One section of one application. We don't write it for you. Drafts come back with comments.

Fri

Test prep block

100+ question bank for the relevant entrance test. Review last week's mistakes first.

Sat

LinkedIn & portfolio

One post. A connection batch. Portfolio refresh if there's anything new to show.

Sun

Off. Actually off.

Burnout is the #1 reason kids underperform in interviews. No calls. No assignments. Touch grass.

§ 07 · packages

Pick the one that fits where you are. We'll talk you through exactly which makes sense for your child on the call, and we'll point you to the lighter option if it's the right one.

On the call we'll
  • Honestly review your current profile: strengths, gaps, real odds at each target.
  • Tell you which package fits, and recommend the cheaper one if it's right.
  • Map a rough 3-month plan so you know what working with us looks like.
  • Answer every question on pricing, deadlines, and scholarship. No hedging.
